Growing up, helping others was something that was ingrained in me from a young age and something I was and have been very passionate about. Whether it was raising money for various charities in my small upstate New York town, volunteering, or being a support and listener to friends and family. While deciding what career I wanted in high school, becoming a therapist felt like the perfect fit for me and something I was very passionate about. After finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I completed my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College. This training was trauma-focused, which is something I was looking for in a program, as I do believe mental and emotional well being can be traced back to traumatic experience.

The past 4.5 years I have spent working in community mental health, and have worked with a wide range of diagnoses and populations which has helped me hone my skills and have a better understanding of the different ways our lives and experiences can impact us. I approach my work with clients through a trauma informed lens, as trauma impacts all parts of our well-being. I use a client-focused, strengths based approach with all clients, and will work to help shine light on positive attributes that may get lost in whatever life is throwing at us.
