Throughout my education and experience in the mental health field, I’ve developed a passion for supporting individuals on their healing journey to self-fulfillment and overall wellness. I strive to create a warm and supportive therapeutic environment, where clients feel safe to engage in self-exploration and discovery. Using a trauma informed, client-centered approach, I focus on empowering clients to take the lead in identifying their goals towards growth and healing. Therapy is not a one size fits all; I meet clients where they are at and use a combination of evidence based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness based interventions.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is a key component to the healing process, strengthened through the use of empathy, reflective listening, and acceptance. I act as a sounding board–offering guidance, support, and tools to increase self-awareness, insight, and action to create positive changes. I practice with the belief that every individual has the resilience and inner resources to achieve their growth and healing goals, and I am grateful to be a part of that journey.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my dog and being outside in the warmer weather. Some of my favorite activities include paddleboarding, listening to podcasts, audiobooks and music, relaxing, and finding new coffee shops or restaurants to try!
