Everyone has the capacity to be better, especially when it comes to overcoming the effects of trauma and adverse experiences.  Having previously served in the military and former first responder, I know all too well how these things can affect us and can become obstacles to better living. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New England College, where I am also an adjunct faculty member, and a doctoral student. As a counselor, I remain dedicated to the service of others with a humanistic, person-centered, and strengths-based approach. My passion has always been in helping people, and now that passion manifests in my desire to help others heal from the effects of trauma and the many other obstacles that life will present, along with finding the confidence and the path forward towards wellness. Oftentimes the hardest step is the first step. With a soft voice, compassion, understanding, and acceptance, I want to take that first step with you and empower you to find strength and resilience through the use of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and solutions-focused brief counseling (SFBC).

Feeling comfortable in an environment where you are free to be vulnerable, free to be human, and free from judgment is the first step in overcoming trauma. I as well as so many others have experienced trauma and know the effects that it can have on others and ourselves, and the difficulties and challenges that come with it. We are all capable of so much more and the abilities are all within us to be well and heal. When I am not in practice, you can find me on my Street Glide, at the beach enjoying the waves, and spending time with my friends and family. So, whether you are a child, adult, first responder, or student, we can all heal, and I look forward to helping you heal and become the best version of yourself!
