Hello! I’m Marissa, Clinical Intern
I’m a soon-to-be graduate of Southern New Hampshire University’s Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Originally from California, with roots in both the Bay Area and Los Angeles, I bring cultural humility and an open heart to my work. I especially enjoy supporting artists, female teenagers, women, and veterans who are navigating trauma, strengthening relationships, or seeking deeper self-expression and healing.
How I Work
I create a safe, empathetic, and collaborative space where you feel truly heard and supported. My work is grounded in person-centered principles and draws on experiential modalities such as art therapy to help unlock creative pathways for expression and growth. I also integrate trauma-informed care and active listening to tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll focus on building trust, processing past experiences, and empowering you to create lasting positive change in your life and relationships.
What Led Me Here
A deep curiosity about human behavior and a genuine passion for helping people become their best selves first drew me to counseling. Watching individuals rediscover their strength after hardship continues to inspire me every day. I’m motivated by the belief that everyone deserves a compassionate space to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves and others. Whether you’re an artist seeking balance, a woman or teenager working through relational challenges, or a veteran adjusting to civilian life, I feel honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
When I’m not in session, I enjoy exploring new places, listening to music like Prince and 90s R&B, and volunteering with animals.
