If you have experienced significant stressful or traumatic events that have led to anxiety, depression, PTSD, or substance misuse, we might be a good fit. I enjoy helping people explore how strained relationships, low self-esteem, negative thinking, inner conflict, or chronic illness may be connected to complex, repeated, prolonged, environmental, or systemic trauma. I work with adults only, and people of all genders.
How I Work
I approach my work through an attachment-based and somatic lens, meaning I believe many of the challenges we face with our mental health can be traced back to interpersonally disruptive experiences, and that healing happens through the body. You can expect that we’ll talk about your childhood and explore ways to slow down and truly feel your feelings. As an IFS-informed therapist, I may help you get to know the different parts of you that are always trying to do what’s best, but might also be holding you back. I also offer EMDR and Walk and Talk therapy, which we may use alongside talk therapy to help you more fully embody your best self.
What Led Me Here
My own experiences in the outdoors have greatly shaped me as a clinician, and I believe that nature and movement are critical elements of balanced wellness. In today’s world, we’re often stuck in routines and patterns that make it harder to connect with our bodies, our communities, and nature, all things that support healing from trauma. My goal is to help people return to nature and to their humanness.
When I’m not at work, you can find me hiking, snowboarding, surfing, and taking care of my houseplants. I also love a good podcast, whodunit mysteries, and live music.
