Adele Headshot

Hello! I’m Adele G. MSW

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I work with toddlers, children, preteens, teens, and their families who are navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, attachment concerns, and life transitions. Whether your child is experiencing big emotions, recovering from a difficult experience, or struggling to cope with everyday stress, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where they can feel understood and begin to heal.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe every child has unique strengths, and therapy should build on those strengths while helping them develop the tools they need to thrive. My approach is warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed, meeting each child where they are developmentally. I strive to create an environment where children feel safe to express themselves, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills.

I use evidence-based approaches tailored to each child’s individual needs, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based interventions, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and play-based techniques when appropriate. Together, we’ll work toward helping your child better understand their emotions, strengthen relationships, and build resilience while supporting your family throughout the process.

What Drew Me to This Work

I’ve always been drawn to working with children and families because I believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and valued. Throughout my education and professional experiences, I’ve had the privilege of working with children facing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges, and I’ve witnessed the incredible resilience that young people possess when they’re given the right support. These experiences have strengthened my passion for helping children heal from difficult experiences and empowering families with the tools they need to grow together.

I consider it a privilege to support children and families during vulnerable moments in their lives. My hope is that every client leaves therapy feeling more confident, connected, and hopeful than when they arrived.

With my approachable and practical style, I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel respected, challenged, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes.

Outside the Office

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, family, and friends, exploring local shops or markets, being outdoors, going to the gym or reading a book. I believe maintaining balance and finding joy in everyday moments is an important part of overall well-being, and I encourage my clients and their families to do the same.
