Hello! I’m Jordyn, MSW

My passion for mental health, social justice, and creative expression led me to pursue a career in social work. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Connecticut, and went on to complete my Master’s in Social Work at Simmons University. I have worked in non-profit and community-based mental health settings, supporting individuals, children, and families across the lifespan as they navigate a wide range of challenges. My areas of clinical passion include working with neurodivergent individuals, the LGBTQ+ community, and those experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma.

How I Work

As a therapist, I take an eclectic, strengths-based approach, meeting you where you are and drawing from a variety of evidence-based practices to fit your unique needs. My clinical training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and the Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC). I love incorporating creativity into the therapeutic process, whether that is through art, storytelling, metaphor, or whatever creative avenue feels right in the moment. My goal is to create a warm, affirming space where you feel empowered to grow, heal, and connect with your inner resilience.

What Led Me Here

My path into this work has been shaped by a deep commitment to supporting others in ways that feel meaningful, affirming, and accessible. I am especially drawn to work that honors identity, creativity, and the many ways people make sense of their experiences. I continue to feel inspired by the resilience I see in the people I work with and the ways they move toward growth and connection. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, including two very spoiled cats and a chinchilla. I love connecting with nature, reading, watching horror movies, and diving into creative projects, whether that is painting, crocheting, or even building a catio. If it involves imagination and making something meaningful, I am all for it.
